[Abstract]

Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in sporadic breast carcinoma in Xinjiang Uygur women. Methods:Immunohistochemistry and tissue microarray technology was used to detect the expression of BRCA1 BRCA2 in 100 sporadic breast carcinoma tissues and 30 benign breast tumor of Xinjiang Uygur women. According to the relative literature, to compare the expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 with the reported domestic different Han sporadic breast cancer.Result: (1)The expression rates of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in breast cancer were 49%(49/100), 50%(50/100). The expression rates of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in breast benign lesions were 80 %(24/30), 83.33%(25/30). The expression rates of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in breast cancer were lower than that in breast benign lesions(P<0.05). (2) the expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 was insignificant correlation with the size of tumor, axillary nodal metastases, the age and having or not menopause(P>0.05). (3) There was not statistic significance between the expressions of BRCA1 and BRCA2 ( P > 0. 05) . (4)According to the relative tiliteratures, the results of our study show that there is no significant different positive expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in sporadic breast cancer in Xinjiang Uygur compared with Han pepole. Conclusion: The expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in breast carcinoma in Xinjiang Uygur women were lower than those in breast benign lesions,suggesting that the expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 were related to the occurrence of sporadic breast carcinoma in Xinjiang Uygur women. But, the role of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in the genesis and development of the breast carcinoma is independent. There is no significant difference of BRCA1 and BRCA2 positive expression between Xinjiang Uygur and Han people.
